Root Canals

Root canals are not as scary as they sound. They have gotten a bad rap over the years and understandably so. However, Dr. Suljic has performed multiple root canal treatments where the client has experienced no pain.

The root canal procedure involved making a small opening through the top of your tooth. After that, the tooth is cleaned on the inside using several different instruments. The infected or inflamed nerve is removed in order to get you out of pain. The procedure is sometimes just as simple as getting a filling replaced. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with either a filling or a crown depending on the location.

Sometimes a root canal treatment is too difficult to perform by a general dentist.  If that happens, Dr. Suljic will refer you to a dentist that specializes in root canal treatment.
