Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are used to improve the color, shape, size or length of your teeth. They are essentially shells that are made out of porcelain and used to cover the front of a tooth or multiple teeth.  They do not cover your whole tooth as a typical crown would. A smaller portion of tooth structure is removed to preserve as much healthy tooth as possible. Veneers are typically bonded, therefore making them a permanent restoration. They can drastically improve the appearance of your smile in a few short visits.

Dr. Suljic is extremely detailed and requires that his porcelain veneers meet certain criteria for the most optimal esthetics. Your smile is unique to you and he wants to make sure that you are happy with the final outcome.

Teeth Whitening

Our teeth can become stained from a variety of different factors. Coffee, the foods we eat and certain medications we take can all cause stain. Stain that is solely on the outside of the tooth is called extrinsic stain. This extrinsic stain can be removed by using whitening toothpaste. Intrinsic stain, on the other hand, is stain that is on the inside of the tooth. This type of stain will need a little more intervention.

At Grimes Dental Group, we offer different options to help get rid of both types of stain. We can provide a specific type of toothpaste and differing concentrations of whitening gels that you will place into custom-made trays. This take home option allows you to whiten your teeth in the privacy of your own home and at your own pace.

Typically, there is less sensitivity with professional whitening gel rather than using over-the-counter whitening strips. If you’re concerned about sensitivity, we ask that you use anti-sensitive toothpaste two weeks prior to starting your treatment and during treatment.
